Attention Mother’s Day Shoppers
April 29th, 2008
Mother’s Day is fast approaching. So if you’re looking for some gift ideas that are beyond the flowers/brunch/appliances realm, here are a few picks for mom, grandma, auntie and of course, for you… “No need to run out to the mall tonight honey, my gift arrived UPS this morning!”
- UncommonGoods. I love this site for its funky offerings. And there’s a whole section on ideas for mom, from home décor to picture frames to accessories.
- If you haven’t already heard of Hungrygirl.com it’s a great site for lowfat recipes, snack ideas, and new products. And this food guru gal just published a book that’s sure to be a hit.
- When it comes to traditional “mother’s” jewelry, there aren’t a ton of modern options out there. But I found this site a while back and the necklaces are just so precious.
- For the modern gal’s kitchen…one of my friends is the sassiest Tupperware gal you’ll ever meet! I just bought the crystal prism bowl and tumbler/ pitcher set. The bowl is perfect for transporting salads to BBQ’s, and the tumblers are great for frozen margaritas outside. And that’s how the modern gal uses Tupperware my friends! Helloooo summer!
- Dance. Walk. Run…Ipod. I’m just so in love with my teeny little ipod shuffle I had to put it on the list.
- One of my favorite places to get pretty spring jewelry, J. Jill. Great picks at great prices.
- There’s no business like show business. A night out to a show or a concert is always a great treat. See what’s coming up near you.
- So I gave an Athleta clothing catalog to a friend and she’s hooked. Such fun stuff for gals on the move.
- Glad Mags. Surprise someone with the gift of a mailbox full of favorite mags. I’m addicted to InStyle, Lucky, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar and Self.
- Is it just me, or can you buy pretty much anything on the planet on Amazon? And I love that you can send gift cards electronically. A great option for those who are a bit behind schedule with gift buying.
Enjoy!
